Esterification System
Jatrodiesel will design, build, and install Esterification systems to process high FFA feedstock such as corn oil from DDGs, animal fats, yellow grease, used cooking oil, jatropha oil, palm oil or algae oil for our clients. Our Esterification systems are among the most affordable, efficient, continuous and effective operating in the world today. The recommended maximum FFA processed using Jatrodiesel’s Esterification is 20%. If you plan to use higher FFA on a consistent basis, consider either Jatro Super™ or MGEN™ systems.
Esterification system from Jatrodiesel is single stage, continuous, fully automated, and highly energy efficient. The FFA of the output from the system will drop from 20% input to <1.5% FFA guaranteed.
The system comes with Pre-Esterification Feedstock dryer and Post Esterification Methanol dryer. Pre-Esterification Feedstock dryer dries the moisture to under 1000 ppm and the Post Esterification Methanol dryer dries the resulting low FFA oil off Methanol and Water generated during the Esterification process.
Jatrodiesel's Esterification process uses Sulfuric Acid and Methanol. It is one of the industry's only Continuous, Single Stage Esterification system. Multiple plants built by Jatrodiesel to date use the Esterification systems.
