Jatrodiesel has unvieled Used Cooking Oil processing equipment today. The equipment consists of raw used cooking oil processing equipment.

The equipment, will clean and purify Used Cooking Oil, to be processed later into Biodiesel. The system is a hands-free completely automated system. And absolutely does not increase the FFA during the process.

The equipment can handle any amount of Water and Sediment.

September 2008 – JatroDiesel unveils Algae Oil Extraction Technology

JatroDiesel unveiled a fully integrated Algae oil extraction technology. The system is commercially available now.

The system will process the wet Algae, up to 25% water, and extracts, and degums the Oil to be used for Biodiesel production. The extraction efficiency is 94% (*depending on the strain). FFA Stripper is also provided in some instances where the oil extracted from specific strains has a very high FFA.

December 2009 - 100% FFA oil to be processed... no problem

After 8 months of extensive testing in the lab and over 2 months of Production testing, Jatrodiesel has unveiled the process technology to process high FFA oils ranging from 2% to 100% FFA.

Typically, Biodiesel plants use the Esterification process which has a limitation of lower yields when higher FFA oils are processed. Also, higher amount of Methanol and Acid are used in the Esterification process. To address these issues, Jatrodiesel came up with a technology that will not use Methanol, and Acid and can easily integrate into the existing infrastructure and all this without the loss of yield.

January 2011 - Single Stage Biodiesel process

Jatrodiesel unveils brand new process which eliminates the usage of Homogenous catalyst such as Sodium Methylate and multiple stages of process (Esterification and Transesterification).

Jatrodiesel's R&D lab has been working on the process for the past 2 years. The process cuts the multi-stage traditional process to process high FFA oils to a Single Stage process and completely eliminates the usage of the traditional homogenous catalyst and enzymes.

The process is pilot tested at Jatrodiesel's offices in Dayton, OH. And is offered for a commercial installation.
